Our Bike-Boat-Holiday leads us through splendid old Historical cities
and villages, and through wonderfully varied sceneries.

Almost everywhere you ride is flat and in some cases, 
on lightly rolling bicycle tracks and local roads.

Longer and shorter bike routes are also every day possible.

The beautiful bike routes and tracks are excellently signposted throughout 
the bike route intersections of the network Limburg. 
As far as quality is concerned, this is 100 % the best bike route network in Europe!

Also for (Nordic) Walkers, there are many beautiful routes and possibilities 
for many interesting field trips! (alternative: excursions).

1st day: You receive a warm welcome on board off the Hotel Yacht Miró *****  
At Port Kanne (B)

Lovely Cruise to Liège-Angleur. (27 km.)
Discover the fiery Cities.
You arrive in Port Kanne (B) near Maastricht via your own transportation. 
We embark at 12.00 o'clock p.m. in KANNE Village near Maastricht 
On board we start with a warm welcome, 
a welcome Champagne or Cafe Complet and a briefing about the tour. 
The bikes are adjusted for every individual.

After this, we sail with the Miró ***** through the locks of Lanaye ( 125 Mtr. Long ) (18 meters fall) 
towards Liège, Angleur. The locks of Lanaye are the highest locks 
in the River Meuse and are an impressive event. 
We continue our tour through the locks of Visé through 
the beautiful valley of Visé to Monsin. We moor in Liège City -Angleur, 
right in the centre of the historical Old Town. We enjoy a Nice  local dinner
in Liège and in the evening there is an opportunity to take a city tour 
with the Skipper. He takes you to the famous Carre and the Old Historical City
and we visit the Famous Cafe Chantant les Ollivette ( French Chansons )
After the tour we invite you for a late evening Cruise over the beautiful illuminated River to Port des Bouvry  

2nd day: Liège-Angleur - Eijsden - Neer Kanne . Appr. 42 km
Riding through the valley of the Ourthe is biking and enjoying with all your senses! 
Early in the morning we enjoy a pleasant Skippers breakfast. After breakfast there is an opportunity to visit the famous Sunday market, La Batte, the oldest Sunday market in Belgium. Here the bikes are offloaded and after discussing the tour, we start our bike tour through the beautiful valley of the Voer to the wonderful Castel of Eijsden and the delightful Village of Kanne. We take a beautiful rural bike tour along the small river Voer. back in Kanne, /Riemst  we drink afternoon thee /coffee with Home Made sweets. Here we have dinner in a nice local restaurant and spend the night at the city quay. Visit the Beautiful Chateau NeerCanne or the Limestone Caves. You are free to spend the rest of the evening as you please  

3rd  day: Bike tour  Lanaken  - Maasmechelen - Bree  Appr. 45 km.
Pick the enchantment in Limburg!!
A delicious breakfast cruise and Briefing of the tour.
The skipper has already taken your bike from the boat and checked the pressureof your tires.
Our bike tour leads us through an enchanted worldof legendary castles,
miraculous legends and a mysterious past. 
Centuries-old stories occur here in a fairy-tale setting of sweet fruit blossoms, 
ready to be picked, of green woods and endless panoramic views. The Land of the Haspengouw has you in its spell and will never set you free again. 

We visit the splendid medieval castle Ruines  of  Pietersheim  a pearl in  Limburg,
it was the most importand  castle between the Loire and the river Rhine.
Here we reach the junction of the Albert canal and the Canal of Neerharen. 

We board the Miró ***** again at Maasmechelen  for a visit to Maasmechelen village and here we enjoy dinner
After dinner Romantic evening Cruise  at the national Park Hoge Kempen  to Bree village hire we spend the night on the wooded canal banks.
In the evening it is a real treat to stroll allong the canal banks 

4th day: From Maasmechelen to the abby Achel and  Fort Stevensweert Distance appr. 45 km
Taste La Dolce Vita in Limburg!
We start out with a delicious breakfast. and Briefing
The skipper has already taken your bike from the boat and checked the pressure of your tires.

The Limburg National Park Hoge Kempen surprises you with beautiful bike routes 
between large woods, impressive land dunes, mysterious pools and ...... Desert!! 
Beautiful Bike ride to the Trappist Abbey  of Achel for Bier and Cheese tasting .
There are some very good bike cafés along the route, 
and don't you want to go too far to-day? No problem. 
You simply shorten the route -  at Weert  we start a Afternoon Cruise to Fort stevensweert  at the lake district
and we will have dinner  by the best Local Cook in this small Historical city  
 
5th day: Thorn - Papenhoven - Maaseik - Thorn. Distance appr. 29 or 42 km.
Boundless enjoyment in Limburg 
By breakfast the Miró ***** sails through picturesque Lakes with beautiful  scenery to the little Historical Museum City of Thorn 
On the way we discuss the tour and at appr. 10 o'clock the bikes are taken from 
the boat. Meanwhile the shipmate has taken your bike from the boat and he has checked 
the pressure of your tires. We start the bike tour by beautiful old farmhouses 
via the River Maas  route along the beautiful old River and the splendid Limburg lakes and farmland to Historical  city  Maaseik and Papenhoven 
Don't forget to taste the excellent cuisine and the famous Belgian chocolate! 
The bike tour continues over Maasbracht  back to the famous snow white medieval  Museum town of Thorn. 
Here you meet the Mirò again; your Floting hotel that has moored at the landing 
outside the city walls. Do you want to fish or swim??? Here the beach is white as snow
and the swimming water is crystal-clear!  
after diner a Beautiful evening cruise to  the Big locks  of Maasbracht and Born
we pass the impressive lock-complex at the beginning of the Juliana canal 
Hire we will spend the night  - the view over the Riveris breathtaking.

6th day: Born - Maastricht - Kanne   Distance appr. 43 km.
Listen in exaltation to the silence on the water!
a delicious early breakfast  and we Bike  towards the sun across  to  Maastricht 
The skipper has already checked your bike and taken them from the boat. 
Through the rural village of Stein we ride along beautiful apple orchards to the 
Little village of Elsloo  with its magnificent Castle. 
Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch or have a cup of coffee.
We continue our tour through a splendid wooded Limburg scenery to Kanne 
In the evening the Harbour Taxi takes us in to the old Historical centre of Maastricht.
On Thursday evening all shops and museums are open until 21.00 o'clock p.m. 
Maastricht shows you its unequalled, delightful Burgundian side. 
As we return on the Miró,  we enjoy a drink on the Candlelight deck, looking back on a wonderful week 

7th day: Return trip.
After a delicious breakfast we disembark at 10 o'clock. 
Taxi transfer to and from Maastricht Raylway station is optional
